New Stuff!

I thought I would do a little post to show you guys what I’ve been buying lately! I’m going on holiday soon to a hot country for the first time since I was 12! (My sister doesn’t like to fly but she’s giving it ago this year!) I mean I’ve been to France but only to the north which isn’t particularly hot. So I’ve been buying some holiday clothes as I’m so excited! :D Here they are (There is a dress missing that I forgot to photograph! It will be added as I love it!):
New shoesies! :) So cute.

So I bought this playsuit online hoping it would look nice as I've not had much luck with playsuits but I love this one! Perfect for the beach or wondering around town. Also, its strapless so no tan lines!
The new thing here is the bandeu top. Bought purely so I have a top to wear when I’m walking around town so I don’t get tan lines! (I'm a bit obsessed with tanning!)
This maxi skirt is to die for!

Just a pair of plimmys (as my mum calls them)
My favourite purchase of the day! These beautiful shoes are to replace my comfiest going out shoes as they've pretty much had it now. And they were a bargain! 20% Off for 3 days only, £35.00 down to £28.00! Love them.

And this, ladies and gents, is my new hair! I’ve gotten rid of the dip dye and gone back to my favourite dark brown, and I had a few caramel highlights put through the underneath’s to break the colour up. I’ve also moved my parting to the middle! A new me :) Just got to wait for the side of my fringe that I moved to grow out!
The first picture I took of my new hair. It was zoomed in too much but I thought it was nice for my first shot!

My new bikini! I'm a tad obsessed with leopard print so when I found this, I needed it! It has removable straps so no tan lines!
Sandels £8 - Primark
 Playsuit £14.99 - New Look
Bandeu Top £5.99 - New Look
Maxi Skirt £14.99 - New Look
 Plimsoles £6.99 - New Look
Bikini top £15.99 Bottoms £7.99 - New Look
 Wedges £28.00- Dorothy Perkins.

Nails Galore

So I thought I would dedicate a post to the nail designs and nail art I have had on my nails for the past few months...
I like to play around with new ideas and new nail art designs and these are some I really liked and think turned out well!.. Some pictures are just nails colours and glitters I love! And one is a design that matches my cheerleading uniform! Because I’m that cool....
Enjoy!

Soul Fake Tan

It was about time I did a review of fake tan as, let’s be honest, I can’t live without it!

Now the fake tan I'm about to review isn't actually available in stores to buy just yet, I got it because my mum is working with the company and she asked me to try their products out. It's called Soul and the particular product I’m reviewing is their cans of spray tan and I love it! It’s so easy to apply and the coverage is amazing. I applied it before bed and woke up with beautifully tanned legs, no streaks and no blotches! I used it for my cheer competition, it literally took a minute to apply, a few minutes to dry and that was that! It was slightly orange when I first woke up but after showering and washing the top layer off, it revealed a beautifully brown tan.

I cannot get enough of this product and have also been using their other products, such as their lotions, gradual tans and mousses. And they are also amazing.. But I just loved how easy the spray can was to use and I’ve also used it more so felt that was the one to review. When this product becomes available, I suggest everyone that loves a tan (even if it’s fake) BUYS THIS!

Avon moisturising conditioning hair mist spray

So my good friend is an Avon rep, and she has this box that she keeps loads of Avon products in that she uses for birthday presents etc and she said the other day that I could go through it and find a few things for myself. And I found this little beauty that I was actually planning on ordering, and I fell in love with as soon as I used it!

This moisturising conditioning spray really works and smells amazing! I could really notice the difference when I used it, my hair felt softer and smoother instantly! I let my hair dry naturally after using it because I’m trying not to use heat appliances on it, this could have helped in it feeling softer but I’m sure the spray contributed. It smells gorgeous, kind of coconuty and almondy and is beautiful! The spray its self is light and comes out like a mist so it doesn’t smother your hair or make it greasy. It says on the back that it detangles, but I didn’t really notice this much, but I would still recommend this to anyone that wants softer, beautiful hair!

3 week update

The past few weeks have been so ridiculously busy that I feel I have been neglecting my blog a little! Apologise's for that! So this post is a little update of what I have been doing over the past few weeks. Also, all the pictures are from my iphone so they may not be the best quality images.

Week 1: Cheerleading competition!

In week 1 I was busy at a cheerleading competition! We went up to Telford near Birmingham to compete in the University Nationals and the Midlands competitions at BCA. (British Cheerleading Association) And overall it went well! We had a practise session in the gym at Birmingham University the day before the first day of the competition which, unfortunately, resulted in a few injuries for the 1st team meaning they had to re arrange their routine and stunts! Bad news but they did well considering! For the University Nationals on Friday the 6th of April, my team came 10th out of 20, which is not bad considering nerves were high as, for a majority of the team; it was their first competition resulting in a few stumbles. The 1st team came 6th out of 20 bringing home a trophy and for the Small Jazz dance section of the competition, we came 1st which was awesome! At the Midlands Competition my team placed 4th out of 20 which was amazing! I'm so proud of us because there were a lot of good teams in that category, including non university teams which have members on their squad that have been there for years, and for us to be able to come 4th against them when we're only a university team was amazing! So proud! Brought home a nice little trophy! The 1st team came 6th out of 10 which again was pretty good. The 3rd team came 2nd out of 6 which is awesome! And finally, the Tumbling Duo and Trio both came 1st which was amazing and the Non Tumbling Trio came 1st and the Duo came 2nd which again is amazing, I’m so proud of our squad! It was such a good week! Absolutely exhausting emotionally and physically but good fun!

Week 2: Work

Week 2 isn't quite as exciting as week 1 as I pretty much just worked the whole week. I work at a dog groomers which I suppose sounds quite cool however, it’s not. I’m the person that washes and dries the dogs, and dogs don’t like being washed or dried (especially not with our loud driers) so every day is just one battle after another with dogs that don’t sit still, try to jump out the bath and sometimes go to bite. But other than that, the cuddles are good! Aha.

Week 3: Essay

Week 3 is definitely not as exciting as I have literally just been writing an essay for the whole week. And I still haven’t finished! I've taken some time out to write this post as I haven't blogged for 16 days and that’s just a little bit ridiculous!

So that’s my update! I will definitely be posting more next week as all my assignments are in (except for one on the 9th of May but that’s easy!) :)

rimmel lasting finish glitter polish.

Some of my housemates from last year bought me this beautiful glittery nail varnish for my birthday and I've become slighlty addicted to it! It looks good on top of any nail varnish and adds a little sparkle to every look.

The nail varnish is easily applied and i'snt thick or gloopy. I wouldnt suggest using this glitter if you want to cver your whole nail in it, but its just another to leave a lovely layer of glitter ontop of any colour. For me, this was the perfect birthday present! I will definitely be purchasing some more of this in different colours, if they do it in different colours!

Its been a while!

So it's been a very long time since I last blogged purely due to the fact that I have had a ridiculous amount of assessments due in this week. They are all now done and dusted and I can now finally sit in the sun and relax for a bit!

I thought I would give you a sort of update on what I’ve been doing over the past 2 or so weeks just to catch you up on my life :)

So I've been stretching a lot recently to improve on my splits for cheer competition! I'm doing them in the routine and want them to look really good, so I've been stretching hard! I think during the routine they actually look ok as a mixture of adrenaline and the fact that my muscles warm up during the first part of the routine means I can jump into them easy. Also, competition is next week! I'm so scared! All our squads have been training hard, and we went to Woking gym the other day to practise on a sprung floor, and as you can see we went hard from the amount of bruises I have! It’s also been a few weeks full of birthdays. One was for my best friend back home who turned 20! (missjessicarachel.blogspot.com) We went to TGI's and it was amaazing. We also took lots of photos in one of the photo machines, love them! Such a good way to get memories from a special night. It was also my best friend from uni's birthday and we had an awesome night at BOP (a student night at uni) I've been going to BOP a lot recently and I love it! Miss my flat mates from last year. Also, I’ve been playing around with my new nail dotting tool, love it! Also tried out my mum’s magnetic nail polish which is fricking awesome! BEST THING THIS WEEK, I took a break from work to watch BREAKING DAWN! Love it, definitely the best one, so in love with Jacob.. And Edward.. I can have both right? Oh yer, my mum bought me this totally cool massive book of 100 contemporary designers. I don’t know why she bought me it, buts it’s pretty cool! And finally.. I finished all my essays today! Well until after comp anyway. So I took the time to sit in the sun and soak up that Vitamin D!

Woah long post, but now you're all up to date and I can now get back to some sort of normal life, not stuck in the library working! Looking forward to completing my post on my Cheer Comp! WISH ME LUCK!!!

John Frieda tone correction shampoo

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the lack of posts, I have a ridiculous amount of work/essays/assessments at the moment and just haven’t found the time to blog. So I've decided to take a break and type up this shampoo review :)

Now my friend recommended this shampoo to me as she has recently gone from very dark brown hair to an ashy blonde, and she said that this John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Corrector shampoo was good for stopping the blonde from going a brassy colour. I've noticed recently that my dip dyed blonde ends have started to go a slightly ginger colour so I thought I would give this ago, and I’m glad I did. My blonde looks refreshed and blonde again! It took a few shampoos to notice the difference and it still looks slightly ginger under florescent lighting but I think that’s probably because I left it about 3 months maybe more to attempt to fix the ginger.

The shampoo comes out a purpley colour but don’t let that put you off as it doesn’t stain your hair at all. I tend to leave the shampoo on for a minute or two to let it do its magic and use it 3 or 4 times a week like it says too on the back. It’s also a lot cheaper than tone correcting shampoo's you buy from salons which are usually around £15 - £20. This shampoo is only £5 and can be found in normal drug stores.
It’s also on offer at the moment buy 1 get 1 half price! I just wish I had bought the conditioner as well! :(
